  1. To make Seyal Paav, heat a pan and add oil to it.
  2. Add the mustard seeds and as soon as they splutter, add the chopped garlic and the green chilli.
  3. Immediately add the chopped onions and saute till translucent.
  4. To this, add the tomato puree and mix well. Bring the mixture to a boil and cover and cook further for a few minutes.
  5. Add the turmeric powder and cook for two more minutes.
  6. Next, add the remaining spice powders and mix well.
  7. Saute on medium to high heat till the mixture is cooked and comes together very well.
  8. Add the salt, sugar/tomato ketchup and mix. Add the water and stir. Bring it to a boil.
  9. Reduce the heat and cut the paav into four equal pieces. Add these to the pan and cover and cook on low heat for about 2-3 minutes.
  10. Uncover and flip each piece. Cover and cook again for a few minutes, till the paav has absorbed almost all the onion tomato mixture.
  11. Serve this delicious Sindhi Seyal Paav for breakfast with a sprinkle of some chopped onions, coriander leaves and nylon sev!
