  2. Cover and cook for about 3 minutes until the tomatoes are soft. Now add Bottle Gourd chunks. Saute until 2 more minutes. To this finally add soaked Daal. Mix well and add Green Chillies and chopped Coriander Leaves along with the squeezed Tamarind juice. Also, add 2-3 cups of water. Pressure cook for 8-10 whistles or accordingly.
  3. Let the pressure settle down before opening the lid of the Pressure Cooker. Adjust Salt and check for consistency too. It should be semi-thick and not watery or thin.
