A Kadhi recipe which is a family heirloom recipe. This fabulous Kadhi Pakora is my mother in law's treasured recipe of making the traditional Punjabi Kadhi with onion pakora. Punjabi Kadhi Pakora is one of the most popular North Indian dishes! Deep fried fritters (pakora) are I am sharing my absolute favorite way to make the best Punjabi Kadhi Pakora at home.

The ingredients needed to make Kadhi:
  1. Take 3/4 cup Kadhi Curd
  2. Prepare 2 tbsp Besan/Chickpea Flour
  3. Take 3/4 tsp Grated Ginger
  4. Prepare 1 Chilli finely chopped
  5. Prepare as per taste Salt
  6. Make ready 1/2 cup Water
  7. Prepare 1.5 tbsp Jaggery grated
  8. Take 1 tbsp Ghee
  9. Take 1/2 tsp Mustard Seeds
  10. Make ready 1/2 tsp Cumin Seeds
  11. Prepare 1/4 tsp Methi Seeds
  12. Make ready Pinch Hing
  13. Make ready as required few Curry leaves
  14. Make ready as needed Chopped Fresh Green Coriander Leaves for garnishing

Kadhi and Khichdi - A nutritious and comforting meal, home cooked by my mom is In winters, we enjoyed Khichdi with a piping hot bowl of yogurt based soupkadhi and in the summer it was served. Punjabi Kadhi pakora is ready to be served. Enjoy it with rice or rotis. It goes well with khichdi and jeera puloa also.

Steps to make Kadhi:
  1. Take curd in a mixing bowl and add besan. Whisk well.
  2. Add salt, grated ginger, finely chopped green chilli, water and grated jaggery. Whisk everything well and keep aside.
  3. Heat up the ghee in a pan on low flame. Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and methi seeds.
  4. Once it splutters, add hing and curry leaves and saute for a minute. Add prepared curd mixture, mix well and cook for 4 to 5 mins on low flame stirring occasionally.
  5. Switch off the flame. Garnish with fresh green coriander leaves and serve hot with khichdi, rice, roti…

Enjoy it with rice or rotis. It goes well with khichdi and jeera puloa also. My husband makes the khichdi, I make the kadhi. The first time I made this recipe, hubby was a little skeptical about the turmeric and. Sindhi Kadhi is very delicious and nutritious.
