  1. Firstly in a large mixing bowl take poha.use thick poha else just rinse the poha if it is medium thickness.
  2. Pour water and soak for two minutes or until it softens.
  3. Drain of the water, make sure the poha doesn't turn mushy.
  4. Now add sugar and salt.mix gently.
  5. In a large kadai heat oil and roast peanuts on low flame.
  6. Roast until the peanuts turns crunchy.keep aside.
  7. In the same oil, splutter mustard, cumin, pinch Hing and few curry leaves.
  8. Further add onion, chilli and sauté well.
  9. Sauté until onion shrink slightly without browning.
  10. Further add turmeric &sauté well.
  11. Add in soaked poha, roasted peanuts &mix gently until everything is combined well.
  12. Cover & simmer for 5 minutes or until the flavours are absorbed well.
  13. Also add coconut, coriander and lemon juice &mix gently.
  14. Finally enjoy kanda poha topped with some sev.
