Steps to make Potato stuffed Chili Bajji:
  1. Pressure cook potatoes. Peel the skin and mash it. Add other ingredients and mix well.
  2. Slit the bajji chillies and remove the seeds inside. Stuff the chillies with the potato mixture and keep aside. Heat oil for deep frying in kadai.
  3. Prepare the bajji batter by mixing all the ingredients mentioned. Add water little by little and mix without any lumps. Batter should be slightly thick than dosa batter. Add 1/2 tbsp hot oil to the batter and mix well.
  4. Dip the stuffed chillies in the batter to coat them well and slide them carefully in hot oil. Fry the chillies on both sides until golden and crisp.
  5. Remove them on tissue paper. Fry remaining chillies too. In a bowl take chopped onion, coriander leaves, lemon juice, salt and mix well.
  6. When the chillies are warm enough to handle, cut them into 1 inch pieces and arrange them on serving plate. Sprinkle the prepared onion mix, chilli powder and chast masala. Serve immediately with ketchup or chutney of your choice.
