Prepare Lg. Head of broccoli
Prepare 1 small shallot
Prepare 1-2 garlic cloves depending on size
Prepare 1 cup chicken stock or broth
Take 2 tbl.spoon olive oil
Take Salt and pepper
Instructions to make Broccoli and garlic:
Cut broccoli into florets. Mince garlic and shallot.
In a preheated skillet on med/high heat add your olive oil then your shallot and saute for 2-3 mins. Then add your broccoli and saute for an additional 4-5 mins. Just enough to lightly brown the broccoli. In the last 30-45 seconds add your garlic and mix untill well incorporated.
Deglaze your skillet with the chicken stock. Make sure to scape all your minced garlic and shallot from the sides of your skillet into the liquid. Salt and pepper to your preference.
Cover and remove from heat. 8-10 mins tender but still crisp 10-12 mins.tender. Any time after that your broccoli will become mushy. Hey I am sure some people like it that way god bless you!!
