  1. Make ready 4 sweet potatoes
  2. Get 2 cups milk (not sure if exact amount, just don't put too much)
  3. Prepare 1/4 cup cream
  4. Make ready 1/2 clove garlic, minced
  5. Take 3/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  6. Prepare 1/4 heaped teaspoon paprika
  7. Get 1/2 teaspoon sabji masala - (I use MDH brand from indian store)
  8. Get Approximately, 1/2 cup cheddar cheese
  9. Take to taste salt/pepper
Instructions to make Sweet potato gratin!:
  1. Wash and thinly slice potatoes using a round potato slicer of some sort. Drain moisture from potatoes using paper towels.
  2. Mix the milk, cream, spices, garlic, salt and pepper together in a bowl.
  3. In an oven safe dish, spread out some potatoes and then pour in some of the milk mixture. Repeat this until both are finished.
  4. Cook the gratin in the oven at 180C for 1 hour or until cooked.
  5. Put the cheese on top 10 minutes before the gratin has finished cooking.
